CONCERT SUNDAY 29th November

Following Government guidance regarding the Covid-19 outbreak, we have taken the decision to postpone our upcoming concert on Sunday 29th November.  This is to protect members of the orchestra and audience and to prevent the spread of this disease. At present we do not know when the concert will be rescheduled but we will keep you informed via social media, our newsletter and our website.

Some of our audience have taken the generous decision to donate the value of their ticket to the orchestra. We really appreciate this kind gesture.

If you would like a refund:

  • If you have purchased tickets via WeGotTickets.com they will be in touch with you to organize a refund.
  • If you have purchased a ticket through an orchestra member or soloist please contact them directly to arrange a refund. You must return your ticket in order to be entitled to a refund.

In the event of any queries please contact info@richmondshireorchestra.org.uk or call 07814 118468. We are a small team so we ask for your patience as we go through this process.

Richmondshire Orchestra is a community based group which seeks to perform to a high standard, and gives three concerts a year.  This year our conductor is Peter Stallworthy.  We rehearse on Thursday Evenings 7.30pm - 9.30pm during term-time at Richmond Methodist Church, Dundas St. DL10 7AB.

If you would like to join us, please telephone the secretary, Jill Russell 07814118468, or email using the contact form below. Entry is open to all string players, but places for wind and brass players depend on the balance of forces available.  Besides giving orchestral concerts the orchestra has recently joined with Richmondshire Choral Society for Choral Concerts and has also accompanied a “Songs of Praise” for the churches of Richmond.

There is a strong social side to the orchestra and most terms there is a celebratory orchestral dinner. The orchestra is managed by a committee and once a year we raise money by organising a Coffee Morning at Richmond Town hall.
